When you walk into iCare Urgent Care, chances are youβre not having your best dayβ¦ and thatβs exactly where Blane Cutting steps in.
As a Medical Assistant, Blane is often one of the first faces patients see, and she doesnβt take that lightly. With a natural pull toward helping others, sheβs built her role around something simple but powerful: showing up for people when they need it most.
βIβve always been drawn to helping people, especially when theyβre not feeling their best,β she shared. βHealthcare just felt like a meaningful way to make a difference every day.β
And that difference? It often starts with something small.
Blane focuses on making sure every patient feels comfortable, respected, and truly heard from the moment they walk through the door. Because letβs be honestβwalking into urgent care can come with a lot of uncertainty. βI try to be compassionate, thorough, and approachable,β she said. βSometimes just taking an extra minute to listen or explain things clearly can make a big impact.β Itβs those small moments that turn a quick visit into something more that people remember.
One thing Blane wishes more people understood is that urgent care isnβt just about quick fixes. Itβs also about education, prevention, and helping patients feel confident about their health. And if youβve ever found yourself wondering, βIs this serious enough to get checked out?β youβre not alone. βA lot of patients worry about that,β she said. βI always want people to know itβs okay to ask questions and seek care. Getting reassurance early can make a big difference.β
For Blane, the best part of the job is how personal it becomes in a small community. βI love getting to care for people I see in everyday life. It reminds me how connected we all are.β
So whether itβs a quick visit or a moment of reassurance, sheβs there ready to help, ready to listen, and yesβ¦ fueled by coffee when needed.
