This past weekend, August 16th and August 17th, was the 2024 Kingfisher Rodeo. With hundreds in attendance, cowgirls and cowboys ready to go to work, and young girls and ladies competing for titles, this was the place to be. Both nights consisted of an opening ceremony with a number of events to follow. Those events included saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, breakaway roping, open team roping, steer wrestling, ladies’ barrel racing, junior barrels, and bull riding. The calf scramble and mutton bustin’ activities happening halfway through those events. During the opening ceremonies, they honored two special guests. The 2024 recipients of the Kingfisher Roundup Club Scholarship, are Katelyn and Karlee Harviston.
