April 15th was a special evening at Kingfisher High School as fans gathered to cheer on the Yellowjacket soccer teams in their matchups against ASTEC Charter — but the night held more than just exciting gameplay. In between games, the school proudly celebrated two major events: Spring Sports Senior Night and the crowning of the 2025 Soccer Homecoming King and Queen.
Congratulations to this year’s Homecoming royalty — Hayden Green and Ariana Rivera, who were named the 2025 Kingfisher High School Soccer Homecoming King and Queen. Representing the Homecoming Court were King candidates: Santiago Ortega, Hayden Green, and Elijah Click; and Queen candidates: Karen Munoz, Alondra Ortega, Ariana Rivera, and Natalie Garrett. Adding a touch of charm to the evening were junior attendants Eleanor Blair (Flower Girl) and Liam Bain (Crown Bearer).
The evening also honored 24 senior athletes for their dedication and contributions to Kingfisher’s spring sports programs, including soccer, tennis, golf, and track & field. These outstanding students have shown unwavering commitment, leadership, and passion throughout their high school careers. The honored seniors were: Jaden Bain, Natalie Garrett, Hayden Green, Maddox Jarvis, Julian Marshall, Alex Montiel, Karen Munoz, Alondra Ortega, Santiago Ortega, Zander Padilla, Ariana Rivera, Jake Sisk, Hector Valles, Jairo Velarde, Joaquin Wallace, Mia Franco, Emiley Watkins, Paytun Burnham, Myles Harrison, Cale Leck, Matthew Mecklenburg, Ryan Sanders, Terry Ann McCully, and Talor Mecklenburg.
Surrounded by proud families, friends, and supportive fans, these seniors were recognized not just for their athletic talents, but also for the legacy they leave behind. It was a night full of celebration, gratitude, and school spirit — one that will be remembered by the Kingfisher community for years to come.
