On Monday, February 17th, 7 Kingfisher High School girls went and competed at this year’s 5A West Regionals Tournament in Cache, OK. Those wrestlers were Rylee Hamil, Delissa Evans, Taygen Otey, Mylene Jones, Emma McLean, Shelby Wilson, and Elizabeth Pickle. All the girls gave it their best and fought hard every step of the way!
Rylee Hamil made history that day by being the first KHS female wrestler to qualify for State. After wrestling in 5 matches going 4-1 Rylee placed 5th in the 115 division and guaranteed her spot at the Big House. Rylee will be headed to the Jim Norick Arena this next weekend February 27th through March 1st. Congratulations on your accomplishment, Rylee.
Congratulations as well to Delissa Evans who will also be headed to State but as an Alternate for the 140 division. Photos by AAK Maitland Pickle.
