The Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Community Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4, at the Kingfisher High School football field, bringing families together for a day of springtime fun.
With 7,700 eggs hidden, 9 grand prizes, and 60 prize baskets, children ages 2 to 10 took part in the hunt across four age groups: 2 to 3, 4 to 5, 6 to 7, and 8 to 10. Each group had its own hunt, giving every child a fair shot at filling their basket.
A big thank you goes out to the Chamber’s spotlight sponsors who helped make the event possible.
Egg candy and treats were provided by Cadalacks and InterBank. The sign sponsor was Kingfisher NAPA Auto Parts. Grand prize display trucks were provided by Jacksons of Kingfisher.
Grand prizes were sponsored by BancFirst, Burger Shoppe, Homestead of Kingfisher, and National Land Realty.
Prize baskets were sponsored by Burger Shoppe, God’s Covenant Church, KLYNOR, Pioneer Telephone Coop Main, Wilson Funeral Home, and Wittrock Lake Retreat and RV Park.
Thanks also to everyone who helped stuff eggs and to the Chamber board members who showed up early in the cold to get everything ready. It takes a lot of hands to pull off something like this, and it showed.
Events like this are a good reminder of what makes a small town special. Folks showing up, pitching in, and making sure the next generation has something to smile about.
