The Kingfisher Memorial Library has been having a dino-mite time with its Dinosaur Summer Reading Program, digging up plenty of pre-hysteric fun for local children.
Throughout the summer, young paleontologists have enjoyed a roar-some lineup of hands-on activities, including creating shoebox dinosaur habitats, crafting tissue paper dinosaurs, making fossils and dinosaur eggs, exploring cave painting, building volcanoes and more.
The prehistoric fun is just one part of a busy summer at the library. In addition to the reading program, the library has offered a variety of classes and workshops for students of all ages, including sewing, embroidery, jewelry making and other creative, hands-on activities.
With each activity, participants have unleashed their creativity while taking a journey back to the prehistoric past. From arts and crafts to imaginative adventures, the program has been a tricera-tops way to spend the summer. ✨
