The Junior High Lady Jackets saw both sides of competition this past week—one night celebrating a hard-earned victory, and the next facing a tough defeat.
On Thursday, September 4, the Lady Jackets came out strong against the Weatherford Eagles, showing grit and consistency at the plate. They scored steadily across five innings—1 run in the 1st, 2 in both the 2nd and 3rd, 1 in the 4th, and 2 more in the 5th. Weatherford managed 1 run in the 1st and staged a 6-run rally in the 4th, but it wasn’t enough to stop Kingfisher’s momentum. The Lady Jackets held firm for the win, while the B team followed with an energetic effort that kept spirits high.
Just a few days later, on Monday, September 8, the team hit a tougher challenge against the OKC Broncos. Despite their fight, the Lady Jackets couldn’t find their rhythm at the plate, falling 8–1.
The week may have brought mixed results, but the Lady Jackets’ determination hasn’t wavered. With lessons learned and confidence building, they’re ready to bounce back in their next outing.
