ALAN MUNOZ: COACHING THE NEXT GENERATION

Alan Munoz is a long-time Kingfisher resident who has played soccer all his life. In fact, when asked exactly how long he’s been playing he just kind of chuckled and said he didn’t have a clue but remembers playing as young as 3. Originally from Mexico, Alan actually tried out and made the Mexican Youth Professional team, but moved to Oklahoma shortly after. Alan graduated from Kingfisher High School in 2022. After completing his high school career Alan went on to play center midfield at Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma, where he was also the kicker for the football team. While attending he was able to obtain his associate’s degree in technology. In his spare time, Alan enjoys coaching soccer to elementary school through high school-aged students with 8 years old being the youngest and 16 years old being the oldest currently but has taught children as young as 5. Coaching is something Alan has been doing for the past several years making his debut after high school, mainly coaching when he would return home from college during the summer months. Alan coaches the younger generation to teach the fundamentals of soccer and give them the base knowledge they need to grow and flourish in the sport. He has practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the younger kids, and Wednesdays and Thursdays for the older kids. During the fall and spring soccer seasons at Briscoe Park, he has also been known to help coach. If you have a student or know of one who is interested or could benefit from coaching lessons reach out to Alan Munoz. It would be rare for you to find someone who knows more or loves the beautiful game as much as he does. Text or call Alan at (405)-538-6496 and get your student signed up!
