Amanda (Mandy) Renee Curtis went to her heavenly home on Friday, June 17th, following a terrible car accident. Mandy was born in Fairview, Oklahoma May 25, 1978, to parents Larry and Janell Proffitt Curtis. She was a loving and devoted mother to Trey and Jayla, the joys of her life. Mandy grew up in the Piedmont area, graduating from Piedmont High School in 1997. Throughout her school years, she was active in Middle and High School Honor Choir and loved to sing especially in worship. She shared this talent at Frontline Ministries, serving on the Worship Team. After graduating High School, Mandy pursued a career in childcare, serving in many roles, including her current job as Director at Childtime Learning Center in Oklahoma City.
Mandy was a passionate, bold, selfless, Jesus-loving warrior of the faith. She was a determined advocate for all children. Mandy served faithfully at Frontline Ministries on the worship team, and in the Children’s Department, and helped with all church events. Her selfless attitude was a true representation of a Servant Leader.
Mandy enjoyed fishing, camping, and being with her family. She was truly a joy to know with a smile for all. If you knew Mandy, you loved her and always knew you could depend on her to be there.
Mandy is survived by her parents, Larry and Janell Curtis, children, Trey and Jayla Clodfelter, her brother Todd Curtis and wife Sheri, nephews Bryce Curtis, Derek Curtis, and wife Erica, and great-nephew Conner Curtis. She is also survived by her grandmother Berneita Strohm; Aunts and Uncles, Linda Howerton and Buddy Smith, Terry, and Rita Mitch, and Tim and Cheryl Ammons.
She was preceded in death by grandparents Lester Proffitt, Melvin and Norma Warner, and uncle Rudy Proffitt.
A celebration of life honoring Mandy will be held Friday, June 24th at 1 pm at Frontline Ministries 124 West Erwin, Kingfisher, OK
