On the morning of October 25th, roughly 400 community members attended the Kingfisher Walmart’s Grand Reopening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Kingfisher County Cub Scout Pack 196 presented Walmart with a brand-new American Flag. Different community members and organizations shared kind words about Walmart stores and the Walton family. Long-time employees and store coaches were honored and recognized for their service. Kingfisher Walmart store manager Gretchen Phelps awarded various checks to local and surrounding area organizations for specific projects. The ceremony ended with the cutting of a ribbon to symbolize and celebrate the new remodel of the store. After the ceremony, the Pride of Kingfisher played the fight song to conclude. Walmart associates also had free cupcakes available inside for attendants and shoppers. It was a great day for business, community, and everything in between! Photos by AAK Maitland Pickle.
