Barbara Ann Glazier was the daughter of Jay (S.J.) Tomlinson and Vera Green Tomlinson. She was born on July 7, 1943 in Watonga, Oklahoma. Barbara died peacefully surrounded by family at 10:22 pm, Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.
Barbara was a 1962 graduate of Watonga High School. Following high school, she graduated from Enid School of Cosmetology and began working as a beautician in Watonga. On March 1, 1965, she married Gary Leroy Glazier. They settled in Loyal and raised their two daughters there. Barbara dedicated her career to being a fully supportive stay-at-home mom as the girls were in school. Barbara loved her days at home on the farm. She was proud to contribute to the harvest field crews with daily meals. She always supported the girls throughout high school and never missed a school event. Later in life, she returned to work at Alco in Watonga for more than 15 years.
Barbara, also commonly known as “Gram” by her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, lived a life full of happiness and joy. Gram will be missed by her friends and family, as she impacted those who knew her. She loved life and lived it well. Barbara never met a stranger and was always willing to help others when needed. She left us way too soon, but today, she is rejoicing with Gary, her husband of 36 years, and others who have gone before her.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters and their families—Kelly and Kim Grellner of Okarche and Ricky and Krystal Turner of Loyal.
Grandchildren John and Kelsey Haley, Trase and Kinsey Smith, Austin and Kenadey Dahlenburg, Drew and Katie Krittenbrink, Kylie Turner and Fiancé Grant Curtis, Kaleb Turner, and Kamryn Turner.
She is also survived by five great-grandchildren, John P. and Nora Haley, Hayes and Ella Krittenbrink, and Leroy Smith.
She is also survived by her brother, Sammy and Sharon Tomlinson of Oklahoma City; half-sister, Pam Hinson and Travis of Yukon; brother-in-law, Tom Glazier and sister-in-law, Ona Gay Glazier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jay (S.J.) and Vera Green Tomlinson; husband, Gary Glazier; in-laws, Marvin & Eileen Glazier; sister, Beverly Tomlinson; sister-in-law, Cheryl Glazier; and brother-in-law, Leslie Glazier.
A celebration of life will be held at 10 am, Friday, September 8, 2023, at the Dover Christian Church; Pastor Grant Curtis will officiate the service. Burial will be at the Forest Home Cemetery, north of Loyal.
