Beverly Ann (Grote) Pointer

Beverly Ann (Grote) Pointer was born November 25, 1946 to Warren Kenneth and Bonnie LaDean (Woldridge) Grote in Watonga, Ok and passed away June 22, 2022 in her home in Kingfisher, OK. Beverly grew up in Watonga but made Kingfisher her home after marrying in 1963. From this marriage she had two sons, Bart Steven Jones and Eric Wade Jones. During this time she worked as a switch board operator for Pioneer Telephone. After her divorce she started working at Wal-Mart. In March of 1979 she married Larry Pointer. Beverly and Larry were married 35 years until his death in 2014. From this marriage she had a daughter, Chevyonne Denise Pointer. Beverly loved to camp, fish and cook for her family. Her most requested food was her creamy potato salad and rich coconut cream pie. Everything she made was amazing. Always homemade. Beverly’s life was all about the joy she brought to her family and friends. She endured trials and tribulation through her faith in God. Beverly was baptized at the House of Prayer in Dover, OK. Some of Bart and Eric’s most memorable memories are hunting, camping and running trout lines at the river near Calumet. Chevyonne liked getting pedicures and nails done with her mom. Beverly always tried to be there to support her children.
Beverly is survived by her three children, Bart Jones of Kingfisher, OK, Eric Jones of Okarche, OK and Chevyonne Free of Kingfisher, OK; Grandchildren, Dakota Wade Jones and wife Peyton of Edmond, OK, Abbie Beth Jones of San Antonio, TX, Cy Cooper Jones of Okarche, OK; great grandchildren, Elizabeth Wray Jones of Edmond, OK; brother, Mark Grote and wife Karen of Watonga, OK; Nieces, Michelle Smith of OKC, OK, Stephanie Petty of Watonga, Stashie Wilcoxson of Watonga, OK; Nephews, Daniel Shawn of El Reno, Kenneth Shrum of Piedmont, OK; and many great nieces and nephews.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Larry Pointer; parents, Warren and Bonnie Grote; sister, Connie Shrum; grandparents, Levi and Bridget Mussellman and Gus Grote.
The family will have a private celebration of her life
