Pioneer Telephone Cooperative held its 73rd Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 5, at the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds, bringing members together for a full day centered around community, connection, and cooperative business.
The event featured a variety of activities throughout the day, including bingo, prize drawings, cash giveaways, and several other opportunities for members to win prizes while enjoying time with fellow attendees.
Drive-thru registration began early, and members who completed registration by 1:00 p.m. received a $50 bill credit as a thank-you for participating, adding another popular perk to the annual gathering.
Members also enjoyed many of the traditional Annual Meeting favorites, including lunch, giveaways, and door prizes, while having opportunities to visit with Pioneer staff and other cooperative members from across the area.
As the afternoon continued, attendees participated in the formal business meeting where several updates and proposals were presented and voted on. Topics discussed included improving participation opportunities, clarifying membership and voting procedures, strengthening safety policies, expanding remote participation options, and supporting quorum requirements for future meetings.
The Annual Meeting once again blended a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with the important business of the cooperative, reflecting Pioneer Telephone Cooperative’s ongoing commitment to serving both its members and the communities across Oklahoma. Photos by AAK Maitland Woody.
