The City of Kingfisher has completed an upgrade to its storm siren system with new Commander 1 programming.
With this enhancement, the sirens will now automatically activate whenever the National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning that includes Kingfisher within the designated polygon warning area (see attached map).
As an additional safeguard, authorized city personnel retain the ability to manually activate the sirens using secure mobile devices.
The City of Kingfisher remains committed to providing reliable, timely emergency notifications to help keep residents safe during severe weather events.
