The Kingfisher High School Lady Jackets wrapped up their regular-season home schedule on Thursday, September 25th, with a 4-0 win over the Woodward Boomers. But the night’s real victory went far beyond the scoreboard.
In place of traditional ticket sales, the Lady Jackets invited fans to donate and purchase burgers, with all proceeds going to the Minco Lady Bulldogs, who are recovering from the tragic accident on Monday, September 8th. The effort turned the softball field into more than just a place for competition—it became a hub for healing and solidarity.
The turnout was overwhelming. Fans from Kingfisher, Minco, and Woodward filled the stands, demonstrating how sports can unite communities in times of hardship. By the end of the evening, the Lady Jackets had raised $2,471 for the Bulldogs, with countless burgers served and shared in the name of support.
It was a powerful reminder that while the game ended with a shutout win on the field, the greater victory was found in the unity and compassion of three communities standing side by side.
