OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. Mike Dobrinski, R-Okeene, on Thursday recognized members and coaches of the Lomega Raiders Girls High School Basketball Team in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. The team won the 2026 Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) Class B Basketball State Championship.
Dobrinski also helped recognize the Okarche Warrior High School baseball team, which won the 2025 OSSAA Class A Fall Baseball State Championship, and the Okarche Warrior High School basketball team, which won the 2026 OSSAA Class A State Championship. Dobrinski’s House District 59 shares the town of Okarche with House District 55, served by Rep. Nick Archer, R-Elk City.
“To be able to recognize three championship teams from Western Oklahoma on the House floor is just phenomenal,” Dobrinski said. “The pure grit and determination of these students and their coaches is a testament to us all of the value of teamwork and focus on achieving a dream. We’re incredibly proud of these teams and extend them our best wishes and congratulations.”
Dobrinski and Archer presented the teams with citations on the floor of the House of Representatives. The teams also were recognized in the State Senate.
The Lomega girls basketball team finished their season with a record of 29-1, winning the championship game on March 7 with a score of 71-44. The team is coached by Kevin Lewallen, who now has won his ninth state title, the most in Oklahoma high school girls basketball history.
The Okarche baseball team finished the 2025 season with a record of 23-7. They won their state championship game Oct. 11 with a score of 8-2. The team is led by coaches Ryan Beaman, Matt Yost and Chris Roby.
The Okarche basketball team finished its 2026 season with a record of 28-3, winning its championship game March 7 with a score of 84-65. The team is coached by Aaron West.
