Dover High School’s yearbook students are taking their photography game to the next level. On Thursday, September 4th, the class welcomed Jack Quirk, founder of the All About Network, along with multimedia journalist Maitland Woody, for a hands-on photo workshop.
Thanks to a recent grant, the yearbook staff now has access to brand-new cameras and editing software—tools that will help them capture sharper images and produce a more polished 2025–26 yearbook.
During the workshop, Quirk walked students through the fundamentals of framing, using sample images to show how composition can make or break a shot. His advice focused on simple, practical techniques students can put to use right away as they begin documenting the school year.
Quirk also shared that this is just the beginning—he’ll be checking in with the class regularly throughout the year to mentor them as they continue gathering photos and stories.
