Antique tractors, classic vehicles, and plenty of family fun filled the grounds southwest of Cashion today, Saturday during the 26th Annual Farm and Road Show, hosted by the Central Oklahoma Antique Tractor Club.
The event drew exhibitors and visitors from across Oklahoma to showcase and admire a wide variety of antique tractors, classic cars, trucks, garden tractors, engines, and vintage farm equipment. Giving younger generations a glimpse into how farming was done before GPS, touchscreens, and cup holders.
Families enjoyed a full day of activities, including tractor rides, a Kids Tractor Pull, Food vendors and other children’s events.
There were plenty of restored antique tractors on display, ranging from early steel-wheeled machines to classic workhorses. Some looked like they had just rolled out of the field, while others were beautify restored.
The loudest and most popular attraction was the tractor pulls. These featured small tractors that looked nothing like your dad’s lawn mower. What once started life as ordinary riding mowers have been transformed into screaming little monsters. Some even packed V8 engines under the hood and made enough noise to wake up the neighbors three counties away.
The annual event is organized by the Central Oklahoma Antique Tractor Club and is affiliated with the National Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association, Branch 161.
