On Saturday night, July 6th, storms began to brew. It wasn’t long before those storms became a down-pour rain. Showers lasted until the late hours of the morning, which brought over 5 inches of rain and declared Kingfisher in a Flash Flood Warning. These heavy rains caused many traffic disruptions, road and park floodings, and even temporary road closures. It was a tricky morning trying to navigate around town and get from one side of the pond to the other but that wasn’t the case for everyone. For the ducks, it was a nice Sunday for a stroll and swim. Remember when conditions like these present themselves always proceed with caution and allow ample time to get around. Unless you know your way around extremely well don’t try to sludge through the water. With heavy rain comes debris and with debris comes a visit to the body shop.
