Their love story began in an unexpected way, through a simple connection on social media, but quickly grew into something lasting and genuine. Originally from New Hampshire, Jillian Davis moved to Oklahoma at 19 and soon met Hector Saucedo, a Kingfisher native. When they began talking, Jillian discovered Hector already knew one of her cousins, making their connection feel even more meant to be.
Jillian graduated from Manchester West High School in 2018, and Hector graduated from Kingfisher High School in 2017. Before their first date, nerves almost got the best of her. She remembers telling friends she was so anxious she considered canceling, but they encouraged her to go. Hector picked her up, and the two walked downtown before heading to mini golf. The nerves melted away as they instantly clicked, talking and laughing as if they had known each other for years.
Fast forward three years, and their bond only deepened. On October 8, 2023, Hector planned a heartfelt proposal at a place filled with memories, the lighted bridge at Scissortail Park in downtown Oklahoma City. It was the same spot where they often walked, talked, and dreamed about their future. With the help of a photographer friend capturing the moment, Hector got down on one knee and asked Jillian to spend forever with him.
On May 31, 2025, they said “I do” at The Springs Event Venues in Norman, Oklahoma. The ceremony, beautifully officiated by Lane Ceremonies, perfectly reflected their love story, intimate, joyful, and unforgettable.
Now living in Kingfisher, Hector runs a landscaping company with his brother, owns a hat company, and works in construction alongside his dad. Jillian works at her family’s business, Rucker Mechanical. Together, they are building a life rooted in love, hard work, and shared dreams.
From a nervous first date to a bridge proposal to building their forever together, Hector and Jillian’s story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes the best things happen when you take a leap of faith.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Saucedo!
