The Kingfisher High School Choir is working hard to hit the right note—this time, in New Orleans! On Saturday, September 27th, the choir hosted a Car Wash & Bake Sale from 11 AM to 3 PM at Kingfisher Equity Bank (formerly NBC) to help raise funds for their upcoming trip to the National Heritage Festival, set for April 9–12, 2026.
This isn’t the choir’s first time competing on the national stage. In 2022, the group traveled to Nashville, where they not only took home 1st place honors but also received an invitation to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City—a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that showcased their talent and dedication.
Now, they’re preparing for another big journey, and the cost is significant. Each student must raise $950 to make the trip possible. The community’s support is crucial in helping them get there, whether that’s through attending fundraisers like the recent car wash and bake sale or making direct donations.
If you’d like to contribute and help these talented students represent Kingfisher on a national stage, donations can be made at kingfishervocalboosters.com. Be sure to include who and what it’s for in the notes box at checkout.
With the community’s backing, the KHS Choir will once again carry Kingfisher’s name proudly across the country—and this time, all the way to New Orleans.
