
Juanita Joseph Tomah, beloved wife and mother of six children, passed away on 17 February 2026, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Ganado, Arizona, on 18 March 1960, to Herman Joseph and Anita Tsosie and grew up with a strong sense of family and tradition. Juanita was known for her warm heart and her dedication to her family, always putting the needs of others before her own.
Juanita was a devoted mother to Benjaman Paymella, Stephenie Paymella, Nichole Paymella, Michael Tomah, Kent Tomah III, and Christina McKee, each of whom she held dear beyond measure. She filled their lives with an abundance of love and unwavering support, enriching their lives with great memories.
She also cherished being a grandmother to her 16 grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, and whom she often showered with affection and wisdom.
Juanita was preceded in death by her father, Herman Joseph, and is survived by her loving husband, Kent Tomah Jr.; her mother, Anita Tsosie; her siblings, Mary Ellen Denny, Byron Joseph, Gordon Joseph, Amelia Tsosie, Cecilia Nez, Cecil Joseph, Marian Neboyia, Ernest Joseph and Yolanda Joseph; and her six children and 16 grandchildren. All will forever remember the love she brought into their lives.
Visitation for Juanita will be held from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on 20 February 2026 at Sanders Funeral Service, 124 E. Broadway, Kingfisher, OK 73750. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM on 21 February 2026 at Sanders Funeral Service Chapel. Under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
