On Thursday, October 5th, Juniors and Seniors from across the county came to Kingfisher High School All Purpose Building for the Kingfisher County College Fair. The schools present were Kingfisher High School, Hennessey High School, Dover High School, Lomega High School, and Okarche High School. This event allows students the chance to explore several different college or career options. Represented institutions included larger universities such as the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, community colleges such as Redlands Community College and Oklahoma City Community College, and vo-tech schools like Chisholm Trail Technology Center. The event also featured representatives from the Kingfisher Fire Department who answered questions about becoming a firefighter in the area. Additionally, representatives from the Army and Air Force discussed military options with interested students.
