The Kingfisher County Fair kicked off Wednesday the 23rd with tractor pulls and Farmhand Olympics. Kids from all over the county from 4-12 participated in the tractor pulls. Then teams of 4 participated in the Farmhand Olympics which is essentially an obstacle course. There were 5 teams in the senior age division, 7 teams in intermediate, and 9 teams in junior. Each team had to run through the course, and whoever had the best time in the division was declared the winner. In the senior category, first place was the Blondies, second place was the Kingfisher Swim Team, and third place was the Island Boys. In the intermediate age division, first place was the Howdy Girls from Cashion, second place was the Fantastic 4 from Kingfisher, and third place was Show Time from Cashion. In the junior age division, first place was Hold Your Horses from Cashion, second place was the Raider Ranchettes from Lomega, and third place was the Misfits from Lomega. The first place in each division wins a $20 Atwoods gift card for each member, the second place gets $15, and the third place gets $10. All in all, it was a great start to the county fair!
The second day, August 24th, the Kingfisher County Fairgrounds were bustling with judges checking out entries for baked goods, canned items, crops, art, photography, and more! Kingfisher County 4-H also had their Steak Sandwich Fundraiser at the Exhibit Building. This is just the beginning of all the fun the fair has to offer! The Kingfisher County Fair runs through Saturday the 26th at the fairgrounds.
