The Kingfisher County Friends of the Library held its first annual Teddy Bear Tea Party on Saturday, May 30. Several kiddos attended with some of their favorite people and favorite stuffed animals for an afternoon of sandwiches, cookies, tea (pink lemonade) and conversation.
During the event, Mrs. Audry and Friends of the Library President Alli Copeland shared information about the organization’s mission, the programs it supports, and the impact it has made on the library. Support from the Friends of the Library has helped fund new murals and ceiling tiles, access to the Ancestry program, restroom renovations, and the purchase of twelve public-use computers. The organization also supports the Summer Reading Program, library book sales, and the Adult Reading Program.
Interested in becoming a member? Membership is just $10 per year or $100 for a lifetime membership. For more information, contact the Kingfisher Memorial Library at 405-375-3384.
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the first Teddy Bear Tea Party a success!
