This was Emily Faith’s first year competing in the Miss Oklahoma pageant. The first one she competed in was Miss Oklahoma City and she was 1st runner-up. The next pageant was Miss Tulsa and she won. Emily represented Tulsa all year long. Getting this far in her first year in the Miss Oklahoma pageant was amazing to finish as 1st runner-up. Emily is bringing home 19,000 in scholarships this year.
Emily said, “I had the most amazing week at Miss Oklahoma this year! I made so many new friends and I am beyond proud of everything I accomplished during my first year! I’m beyond proud of our new Miss Oklahoma, Megan Gold! Megan became one of my closest friends and truly my big sister over the last few years, so being able to share that moment with her and celebrate her was so special! I am beyond blessed and grateful and I give all of the glory to God! I couldn’t be more thankful for all the local businesses that supported me through this. Their financial support has helped me achieve so many of my dreams and bring home $19,000 in scholarships to help me pay for my junior year at OU. I’m excited to come back and compete for the Miss Oklahoma title next June in 2023!”
If for any reason Megan can’t fulfill her role or wins Miss America, Emily would have the option to assume the role of Miss Oklahoma.
Emily was accompanied by her two “Stars” Mylah Matthews, 7, and Reese Farrar, 5 who both attend Kingfisher elementary school. Mylah’s parents are Dakotah and Amanda Matthews, and Reese’s Parents are Tyler and Jacque Farrar both of Kingfisher. The Stars attended the weeklong event along with Emily and had lunches and parties with the other Stars as well as escorting Emily on stage.
