Kingfisher Winter Nights kicked off the season this evening, November 29, with its annual opening night and tree-lighting ceremony. A large crowd gathered to enjoy the festivities, which featured a variety of local vendors and holiday attractions.
KWN President Chase Farrar welcomed attendees and shared a few words before the choir performed several seasonal songs. The City of Kingfisher, OK and the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce also announced this year’s Keep the Cheer Here campaign winner, Kolton Good.
The highlight of the night came when Dennis and Tammy Mueggenborg lit up the park, “setting it ablaze” as they flipped the switch and brought brilliant light to the darkness.
The evening saw strong attendance and pleasantly calm weather compared to this morning’s winds. Be sure to stop by and experience the Kingfisher Winter Nights any night from now until December 27th.
