At approximately 8:27 p.m. on April 14, Kingfisher firefighters responded to a house fire at 125 Sunrise Hill.
Additional crews from Dover and Okarche were called in to assist through mutual aid.
According to Kingfisher County Emergency Management, the fire appears to have been caused by a lightning strike to the roof of the home as a strong thunderstorm moved through the area.
The family was home at the time and escaped without injury.
Officials reported fire and water damage to the attic and portions of the living area. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control.
