Our community has always taken pride in looking out for one another, especially those who have dedicated their lives to serving others. Today, we are asking for that same support for one of our own.
Ty Gardner, a retired veteran and devoted volunteer firefighter, was recently injured in the line of duty. While enroute to the hospital by Pafford EMS to be treated for smoke inhalation after the Hitchcock fire, Ty suffered a massive heart attack. He is currently fighting for his life, and his family needs our support now more than ever.
Ty and his family are well known throughout the Hennessey community for their kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Ty is someone many of us know not just by name, but by his actions. Over the years, he has consistently stepped up to help those in need, whether it be fellow veterans, the wounded, or families facing hardship. His willingness to serve and give back has never wavered.
Now, it’s our turn to stand by Ty.
In response, the Hennessey Community Action Team (CAT) has established a donation account at Community State Bank in Dover, and another account is set up at BankFirst in Kingfisher.
Donations can also be made through 132 Bible Church via PayPal at 132biblechurch@gmail.comor by mail to 10014 E 610 Rd., Hennessey, OK 73742 (please memo: Gardner Family). Donations may also be made at any CSB location.
These accounts are the only official ways to donate directly to Ty and his family. It is important to note that there is no GoFundMe or any other online fundraiser set up by the family. If you see one claiming to be for Ty, it is not authorized by the Gardners.
Every contribution, big or small, will make a meaningful difference. Your support will help Ty and his loved ones navigate this challenging time with strength, hope, and encouragement.
If you can, please consider donating. Let’s show Ty the same courage, generosity, and compassion that he has shown to so many in our community.
Let’s stand behind one of our own.
