14-year-old Jerzie McLane, a freshman at Kingfisher High School, made a significant impact at this season’s 14U All State tournament held in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where her team finished undefeated and claimed the championship title.
Demonstrating skill and leadership, Jerzie not only represented her region effectively but also distinguished herself among the state’s top players. Throughout the tournament, she exhibited heart, determination, and exceptional talent.
Jerzie competed in four games across various positions, including catcher, right field, and left field. On defense, she showcased her abilities with several throw-down attempts, achieving five putouts and one assist. At the plate, Jerzie contributed with two strong hits, two walks, and scored two runs.
The All State event featured some of the finest young athletes from across Oklahoma, adding to the significance of this victory. Jerzie’s championship win concludes an extraordinary season and marks another impressive achievement in her already outstanding youth sports career. Looking ahead, Jerzie plans to play for Kingfisher High School as well as continue with her travel team, and she has also received an invitation to Nationals this December.
