When life throws curveballs, sometimes it leads you right where you’re supposed to be. For Zac McEachern, that journey began with a baseball glove, a degree in business, and the thought that he might one day become a financial advisor. But after an elbow surgery, a season missed, and a conversation with Justin Stephenson, his path took a turn toward insurance, and he hasn’t looked back since.
“I really believe it was a God thing,” Zac shared. “The timing, the opportunity, and the plans Justin had for me all just fit.” Since June 2, 2025, Zac has been diving into the world of insurance with the Stephenson Baggs Guthrie team powered by Inszone, and in just a few short months, he’s already making an impact.
Why Commercial Lines?
Commercial insurance may sound intimidating, but for Zac, it’s about protecting what others have worked so hard to build. “I love sitting down with business owners, walking them through the details, and helping them understand what they’re really getting,” he said. From workers’ compensation and general liability to business auto and bonds, Zac helps businesses, large and small, feel confident about their future.
A Day in the Life
If you think insurance is all paperwork and phone calls, think again. Zac’s days start at 6 a.m. with Sports Center, a morning walk, or even a “dangerous” run. By 8 a.m., he’s in the office, tackling everything from policy questions to client meetings until 5 p.m. (or later). After work? It’s straight into gym clothes for a workout before settling in with dinner and.. no surprise.. whatever sports game happens to be on.
The Best Part of the Job
For Zac, it’s all about the people. “Watching business owners leave with a better understanding of their coverage, that’s the best part,” he said. “And I couldn’t do it without this team. Everyone shows up with a smile and a ‘help first’ attitude. They’ve made me feel like I’ve been here for years, not months.”
Beyond the Office
When Zac isn’t protecting businesses, you’ll likely find him at the gym, cheering at a ballgame, or with a fishing pole in hand, waiting for the perfect bite. He’s also an avid duck hunter and big sports fan.
What Keeps Him Going
Faith and family top the list. Zac’s father’s story of overcoming adversity continues to inspire him, and his own faith keeps him grounded, honest, and motivated for the future. “It’s what drives me inside and outside of work,” he said.
Zac is excited to walk you through the process and make insurance feel simple, not stressful. You can reach him at 580-203-3382 or by email at zmceachern@inszoneins.com
