Since his dad, Blu bought the restaurant a little over two years ago, Colton Kostka has been jumping in wherever he’s needed. Kitchen. Behind the bar. Delivering food. He’s the definition of a team player, and his upbeat personality keeps both customers and coworkers entertained and happy.
Colton describes The Stack as “local, personal, and fun,” which honestly matches the atmosphere he helps create with every shift. He’s easygoing, funny, and just one of those people who makes hanging around a little longer feel easy.
One thing he especially enjoys is seeing how much support the community continues to show the business and watching it continue to grow.
And while talking with Colton, he shared one of his favorite “Stack stories.” One night he accidentally rang in an order of fried pickles without realizing the kitchen was completely out. After checking on the order, Blu basically decided, “Well… if they ordered fried pickles, they’re getting fried pickles.” Using dill pickles originally meant for burgers, the kitchen hand battered and fried them from scratch, and just like that, a customer favorite was born. The homemade fried pickles officially replaced the pre-battered version after that.
One thing’s for sure, Colton helps make The Stack feel exactly like he described it: local, personal, and fun.

The chicken fajita wrap that we season with seasoning from the local meat market and of course a side of our homemade ranch.
• What kind of music is on your playlist?
A little bit of everything… depends on what I’m doing. (though he admitted his dad might not love that he didn’t automatically say Red Dirt.)
• Who’s most likely to be late for work?
Honestly, nobody here is ever late.
