It all came down to the 7th inning on September 23rd for the Kingfisher Lady Jackets. They fought hard against the Bethany Bronchos, holding them off until the very end, but the Bronchos ultimately pulled away with a 4-0 win.
While the scoreboard wasn’t in the Lady Jackets’ favor, the night was about much more than the game. The community came together to celebrate four amazing Lady Jacket seniors: Manager Addison Shelton, Shelby Davis, Jancee Matthews, and Reese Roof. Each senior was honored with a flower and a gift box from their teammates as a token of appreciation for their dedication and leadership over the years.
In a touching moment of sportsmanship, the Lady Jackets also presented flowers to the Bronchos’ seniors, showing that the game goes beyond wins and losses.
These four young women have left a lasting legacy on Lady Jacket softball. While we will miss seeing them on the field in blue, gold, and white, we can’t wait to see all the incredible things they will accomplish in the future.
