A special recognition recently put the spotlight on both an outstanding educator and the students she inspires each day at Kingfisher Upper Elementary School.
During a Friday morning assembly held a few weeks ago, the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (OERB) recognized Melody Kuehn and her students for their hard work and excellence in STEM education. As part of the presentation, OERB awarded a $2,000 donation to support Kuehn’s STEM program, helping expand hands-on learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math.
The celebration didn’t stop there.
In an unexpected and exciting moment, OERB also presented Ms. Kuehn with a $2,500 personal award after announcing she had been named one of Oklahoma’s Top 10 Teachers. The honor recognizes her dedication to innovative teaching, student engagement, and a passion for learning that reaches far beyond the classroom.
