Geoff Covalt, who has been serving in office since October 2021, was appointed as Vice Mayor during the City Commissioners’ meeting on May 22nd. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University and is the Market Leader of Oklahoma Transportation for CEC engineering, with extensive experience in civil and transportation engineering. Geoff and his wife, Shana, are proud parents of Reagan, Cooper, and Cade.
The City Commissioners are elected to serve a four-year term and are limited to two consecutive terms in office. As a governing board, the City Commission sets policies for the City, approves the annual budget, and enacts legislation to ensure the safety and welfare of the City’s residents. The elected board members of the City Commission also serve as Trustees of the Kingfisher Public Works Authority, Kingfisher Special Projects Authority, and Kingfisher Recreation Authority.
