The awards keep rolling in for the Kingfisher High School girls basketball program, and this time several Lady Jackets are being recognized among some of the top small-school players in the Oklahoma City area.
Reese Roof earned a spot on the Little All City 3rd Team following a standout season on the court. Known for her hustle, leadership, and ability to make plays when it mattered most, Roof played a key role in another strong year for the Lady Jackets program.
Joining her on the recognition list were teammates Abbie Myers and Mattie Slezickey, who were both named Honorable Mention Little All City selections.
The honors reflect not only individual talent, but also the continued success and competitiveness of the Kingfisher girls basketball program. Throughout the season, the Lady Jackets consistently battled tough competition while showcasing teamwork, determination, and strong senior leadership.
For Reese Roof, the 3rd Team selection highlights the impact she made throughout the season on both ends of the floor. Whether it was scoring, defending, or stepping up in key moments, she proved to be one of the area’s top performers.
Meanwhile, Abbie Myers and Mattie Slezickey earning Honorable Mention recognition further speaks to the depth of talent on the Kingfisher roster. Myers has already received several postseason honors this year, including being selected to the Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State team, while Slezickey continued to provide leadership and consistency throughout the season.
Awards like Little All City are especially meaningful because they recognize athletes from schools across the Oklahoma City metro and surrounding areas, placing Kingfisher athletes alongside many of the top players in the region.
More importantly, these honors reflect the countless hours spent in the gym, the early mornings, late nights, practices, road trips, and the commitment these athletes made to their teammates and school community.
For Kingfisher fans, it is another proud moment for a program that continues to compete at a high level while representing their town with class and hard work.
