PLANE CRASH UPDATE

OHP is now confirming that 2 men were killed in this afternoon’s plane crash east of Kingfisher. OHP told All About Kingfisher that the Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six aircraft left Willy Post airfield in Oklahoma City at shortly after noon carrying the two men, and crashed at approximately 12:42 pm this afternoon. The plane crashed in a wheat field just east of the intersection of CR 2920 and CR790 near the Big 4 School.

The crash was reported by a farmer in the area. The Medical Examiner arrived on the scene to begin the investigation at about 5 pm. OHP said the NTSB and FAA will be on the scene tomorrow to investigate the crash. The names of the victims have not been released at this time.
