PLANT A SEED AND WATCH IT GROW – FLATLANDS MARKETPLACE

Ross Hardin long-time Hennessey resident traveled to Canton, TX many

times to attend their first Monday Trade Days which is the largest upscale

flea market held in the United States. After going trip after trip, he was

amazed at just how large, and wonderful this market was.

He thought to himself, he’d sure like to see something like this in Kingfisher County and decided to bring it to Hennessey Oklahoma.  Ross could not get the idea of bringing a marketplace to the Hennessey and Kingfisher County area out of his head, thus bringing to life FlatLands MarketPlace.

Ross wanted to be able to gather vendors from near and far to set up shops in one big building. He welcomes and encourages all vendor types to join from the homemade goodie maker to at-home businesses, crafters, creators, antiques, and everything from the unique to practical. Ross knows it’s going to take patience and time but with some hard work and a little help, he sees this growing into something big for Hennessey as well as the surrounding communities.

Ross says “This building is a building of love because everyone under

this roof is sharing something they love. We have this giant building

with 10,000 feet of indoor space, acres of parking, and outside vendor space, along with self-contained vendor camping. It’s time we put it to good use”.

FlatLands MarketPlace, where vendors meet shoppers and shoppers find

unique treasures. Mark your calendars, the first Hennessey FlatLands MarketPlace will happen on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 8th through the 10th, and will be open from 10 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
