Homecoming night belonged to the Yellowjackets.
The Kingfisher Yellowjackets rolled past the Clinton Red Tornadoes 48-20 Friday, Sept. 11, giving the hometown crowd plenty to celebrate during the 2026 Homecoming matchup.
Kingfisher came out firing, putting 12 unanswered points on the board in the first quarter before adding another 15 in the second. By halftime, the Jackets had built a commanding 27-7 lead.
They didn’t let up after the break.
Kingfisher added 14 more points in the third quarter to stretch the advantage to 41-13. Both teams scored once in the fourth, sealing the 48-20 Yellowjacket victory.
The offense turned in a strong night across the board. Quarterback River Roof completed all seven of his passes for 153 yards, while Drew Snider rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
Carter Stephenson led the receiving effort with three catches for 90 yards.
Kingfisher also recognized four Players of the Game: Donovan Dunn, overall; River Roof, offense; Eduardo De La Torre, defense; and Mason Snyder, special teams.
The win pushed Kingfisher to 2-0 on the season, following a 20-14 season-opening victory over Cashion.
