“To give real service, you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.”
For Margaret Phillips, this isn’t just a work motto; it’s the way she lives her life.
From the moment you meet her, you feel that sincerity. She has a calm strength, a gentle confidence, and a kindness that makes you feel instantly at ease. Margaret doesn’t need to be the loudest voice in the room; she leads with integrity and heart, the kind of qualities you can’t buy, fake, or teach.
Now, she may carry herself softly, but don’t let that fool you this woman has grit in her bones. Growing up in Okarche as the youngest of six with four older brothers, she learned early how to hold her own. True grit wasn’t taught; it was just part of the package. And she’ll tell you, she wouldn’t have it any other way.
But before real estate ever entered the picture, Margaret was busy building a life with her husband, James, whom she married in 1991. She worked as a pediatric nurse, but after welcoming their first daughter, she felt that nudge, the one so many working moms know well, to find something that allowed for a little more family time.
Enter Real Estate:
She earned her real estate license in 1996. Just a decade later, she became a broker and, in 2022, opened her own brokerage, Margaret Phillips Realty. What she won’t tell you, but her record will, is just how exceptional she truly is, earning her place among the top 500 agents in the entire Oklahoma City metro, out of more than 5,000 Realtors. And that’s a big deal.
Her career stretches across residential, commercial, ranch, and farm properties, and she brings the same level of dedication to each one. But at the end of the day, it’s the people, their milestones, their dreams, their next steps that mean the most to her.
Margaret’s deep roots in the community show up not only in her work but in how she serves. She’s an active member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, serves on the Kingfisher Chamber Board, and is part of the F&M Bank Advisory Committee, always giving back, always showing up.
And when she isn’t showing properties or sealing deals, Margaret is finding that precious balance of traveling, relaxing, and spending time with the people who matter most. She and James are proud parents to two daughters, Jessie and husband Cody, and Jordan and husband Issac, and grandparents to four sweet grandchildren, with one on the way.
Every piece of Margaret’s story circles back to that opening quote:
Sincerity. Integrity. Service.
