A couple of weeks ago, the Kingfisher Action Team held its very first fundraisers—and what an incredible start it’s been.
On Sunday, December 7, the team hosted a pulled pork dinner and silent auction in support of the Zingg family. Emily Zingg was navigating a high-risk pregnancy, and thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to raise $3,500 to help cover medical expenses.
The following Saturday, December 13, the Kingfisher Action Team came together again for a soccer tournament, silent auction, and concession sales to support Misty Rojas. This event raised approximately $2,000, with 10% of the proceeds donated to the Oklahoma Drug Court Program, an organization Misty was proudly a part of.
The Kingfisher Action Team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated silent auction items, placed bids, purchased food, or made monetary donations. Your kindness and support made these events possible and meaningful.
This is just the beginning for the Kingfisher Action Team. They are excited to continue growing and can’t wait to make an even bigger impact in 2026.
