Approximately 75 women gathered at the Kingfisher Federated Church for the Spring Women in Business event hosted by the Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce. The evening featured guest speaker Ashley Schubert, who delivered a practical and motivational message centered on balancing success, faith, relationships, and personal well-being.
Schubert shared that success is often built through intentional daily habits and maintaining a healthy mindset. She encouraged attendees to begin each day with prayer or reflection, maintain simple routines such as making the bed and staying hydrated, and prioritize meaningful time with family. Planning ahead through weekly scheduling and preparing early for busy seasons were highlighted as ways to reduce stress and create more balance in life.
Organization and time management were also major themes throughout the presentation. Schubert encouraged consistent calendar use, syncing schedules with family members, and using tools such as color-coding to stay organized. She also discussed making the most of everyday moments, like listening to podcasts during commutes and continuing personal growth through nonfiction reading.
One of the strongest takeaways from the evening centered on delegation. Schubert emphasized the phrase, “Only do what only you can do,” encouraging attendees to let go of tasks such as cleaning, childcare, or administrative work when possible. By doing so, individuals are able to focus on higher-value priorities while also creating opportunities for others.
In business, Schubert stressed the importance of integrity, consistency, and effort. She encouraged women to follow through on commitments, maintain strong character, and always go the extra mile. She reminded attendees that excellence builds reputation over time, sharing a quote from Walt Disney: “Be so good at what you do that others will want to come back again to see you do it and bring their friends.”
Faith and community involvement were woven throughout the evening, with encouragement to remain open to serving where called and to recognize how small local efforts can grow into meaningful change.
The event was made possible through support from community sponsors including Mercy as speaker sponsor, Palmer Chiropractic as drink sponsor, Ovintiv as meal sponsor with catering provided by Sunrise Café, Margaret Phillips Realty as mocktail sponsor, and Sanders Funeral Service as dessert sponsor.
