

Steven Russell Cox, born on July 22, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024, at the age of 72. He was the beloved son of Russell and Pat Cox, who preceded him in death.
Steven was a hardworking and loving father, known for his strong work ethic and caring spirit. He spent many years working in the oil field, where his dedication and expertise were admired by his colleagues. Later in life, he pursued a successful career in auto sales, always bringing warmth and sincerity to every interaction.
In his free time, Steven found joy in simple yet meaningful pursuits. He had a deep passion for landscaping, creating beautiful outdoor spaces that reflected his love for nature. He was also an avid coin collector, spending countless hours researching and curating his treasured collection. A true fan of the Oklahoma Sooners, Steven cheered them on with unwavering enthusiasm.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents; his best friend and beloved dog, Jack; brother, Richard Cox and sister, Deborah Willcox.
Steven is survived by his son, Shane Cox; Granddaughter, Brandy Cox; Great Granddaughter, Avalynn Cox; Brother, Donald Cox and wife Janie; Sister, Cynthia Graves, and husband Dave; Sister, Pam, and partner, Jeff; Brother-in-law, Scott Wilcox; and numerous nieces and nephews who were the light of his life. He will be remembered for his kindness, his generous heart, and his ability to bring joy to those around him.
A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at Birdcreek Cemetery
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
