Abbie Myers signed on Wednesday, May 6th, to continue her basketball career and academic path at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, where she was joined by family, friends, teammates, and coaches to celebrate the milestone.
Myers, a multi-sport athlete (track), leaves behind one of the most accomplished basketball careers in recent Kingfisher girls program history. She collected numerous honors during her time, including Oklahoma Girls Basketball Coaches Association (OGBCA) All-State honors, Oklahoma Coaches Association All-State honors, All Conference honors, K101 Bowl Classic honors, and multiple All-Tournament selections. She was also chosen as basketball homecoming queen.
In addition to her athletic success, Myers was recognized as a basketball Academic State Champion during her junior year in Class 4A, reflecting her commitment in the classroom as well.
She also reached key career milestones, finishing her high school career with more than 1,000 points and 500 rebounds.
Her signing represents the next step as she prepares to compete at the collegiate level with the Savage Storm.
