Some days feel heavy. Others remind you everything is going to be okay.
Wednesday, April 22 was one of those days.
At least for Misty Rojas.
Misty has faced ongoing health challenges with strength, resilience, and a constant smile, showing what it means to keep going even when life isn’t easy.
Each year, the Kingfisher High School Student Council chooses a STING (Students Thriving in Neighborly Goodness) recipient from the community, then gets to work organizing events like bake sales, raffles, pickleball tournaments, movie nights, and more.
This year, they chose Misty.
With her daughter attending KHS, this wasn’t just about helping someone in their community. It was about showing up for one of their own.
And they showed up in a big way.
$10,126.24 raised.
Not just dollars, but support, compassion, and a reminder that no one walks alone.
Way to go STUCO kids, you should be very proud of yourselves! Thank you also to everyone who supported their efforts and helped raise money for this family.
