Okarche sure knows how to throw a block party! This Saturday afternoon, September 13, the town rolled out the welcome mat, or rather, rolled out the asphalt, and turned County Line Road into one giant playground for the 17th Annual Okarchefest.
Hundreds of people filled the street, soaking up live music, munching on festival food, and trying their luck at games. Kids had an absolute blast in epic silly string battles. Face painting stations turned out a colorful parade of butterflies, tigers, and superheroes, and for reasons only Okarche can explain, plenty of folks lined up to try on fake beards and mustaches. (Nothing says “fall festival” like looking like your uncle from the 70s.)
From start to finish, it was small-town fun at its finest, a mix of laughter, good food, and just enough mischief to keep everyone talking until next year.
