Approximately 40 people gathered together today, June 30th, at the Kingfisher Sonic to celebrate a true local—and even county-wide—treasure: Justin Waggner. Affectionately known as “J Wagg” by many of his current and former coworkers and managers, Justin has been a beloved Sonic carhop serving the Kingfisher community for an incredible 40 years.
What began as a small, private retirement celebration quickly blossomed into a full-blown community event after Kingfisher Chamber of Commerce Director Shauna Rupp got wind of the gathering. Recognizing the impact Justin has had, she took it upon herself to spread the word—promptly inviting news crews from Channels KFOR-TV, KOCO 5 News, and KOKH FOX 25 News, Oklahoma to help honor his decades of dedicated service.
Justin was showered with gifts, laughter, memories, and—most importantly—love, as the community came together to show their appreciation for a man who has become a cherished part of daily life in Kingfisher.
Congratulations on your retirement, Justin! Thank you for serving the community of Kingfisher faithfully for the last 40 years!
