Kingfisher Bands and Fourth Grade Music came together today for a patriotic spring concert celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States, and it was one to remember.
Under the direction of Mandy Owens, the afternoon was filled with music, energy, and plenty of hometown pride.
The Seventh–Twelfth Grade Band Members opened the show with the National Anthem, setting the tone for a red, white, and blue celebration.
Fourth Grade Music took the stage with a fun lineup including Joshua, Merrily We Roll Along, Old MacDonald, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and Best Day of My Life.
The Fifth & Sixth Grade Band followed with Battle Hymn of the Republic, Beethoven’s Ninth, and Infinity.
Next up, the Seventh & Eighth Grade Band performed The Red, the White, and the Blues, Childhood Hymn, and Crunch Time.
The Pride of Kingfisher Band brought the house together with An American Celebration, On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss, and Zydeco Cajun Crawdad Dance.
To close it all out, every band joined forces for a powerful finale performance of American Pride.
During the concert, Director Mandy Owens also recognized several outstanding members along with the four graduating seniors.
