The Boys Western Conference Tournament showcased intense action as the Kingfisher Junior High (JH) and High School (HS) wrestling teams hosted and competed at The Hive—also known as the Kingfisher High School Auxiliary Practice Building (APB)—on Friday, January 16, and Saturday, January 17, 2026.
This annual folkstyle wrestling event brought together teams from across the Western Conference in Oklahoma for a two-day showdown in both JH and HS divisions. Kingfisher served as the proud host, with the action unfolding right in their home facility at 1500 S. 13th Street in Kingfisher, OK. The tournament featured competitive matchups across various weight classes, highlighting the skill, determination, and grit of young wrestlers from the region.
The excitement continued into Saturday, with more matches deciding placings, team points, and bragging rights. (Some reports from participating schools noted strong team performances overall in the conference this year.)
If you’re in the Edmond or Kingfisher area, events like this are a great way to support local student-athletes—head to the APB for live action when tournaments roll around! Great job to all the Kingfisher wrestlers and coaches for representing their school so well on the home mats.
