Work is getting underway on a major street improvement project along Will Rogers Drive following approval by the Kingfisher City Commission. The contract has been awarded to Rudy Construction Company.
The project includes milling and rebuilding failed pavement, full resurfacing, curb and gutter replacement, updated striping and signage, and improvements to traffic signal detection near McDonald’s. Work is expected to take about 60 days and will be completed in phases, with efforts to maintain two lanes of traffic whenever possible along this key east-west route.
Cones have been placed on W. Will Rogers Dr., resulting in closure of the outside lanes on the east-west roadway. Drivers should expect shifting traffic patterns and use caution through the work zone.
